Eithel Laura Quesenberry 81 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. She was preceded by her parents, Oscar and Notie Quesenberry and a special Friendship friend, Alice St. Clair.. Mrs. Quesenberry worked at Salem Peacock Cleaners for 20 years and attended Valley Christian Center under Pastor T.R. King. She was very outgoing, loved life and had a unique look on it, a very giving person who would do most anything for anyone. She never met a stranger, made friends where ever she would go. Had a special love for her family, thought the world of her Jimmy. Surviving are her son, Jimmy Quesenberry and his wife, Debbie of Roanoke; grandchildren, Joshua Quesenberry and fiancée Rose Kugel of Christiansburg, Tiffany Eden Caldwell and husband, Matt of Salem, Nicholas Quesenberry of Roanoke; great grandchild, Lexi Caldwell; special niece, Blondine and a dear friend, Vergie. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Friendship Manor who gave her excellent care and treated her like family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the New Life Christian Ministries Uganda Missionary Fund, 5745 Airport Road, Roanoke, VA. 24012 in her name. A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Quesenberry's life will be held 2:00pm Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Tim McKenzie officiating. Inurnment will be private. Friends may visit with the family 2 hours prior to the service starting at 12:00pm. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, 366-0707.
