Elizabeth S. Heppert 75 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2013. She was preceded by her husband, George A. Heppert; daughters, Jeannie Rosenburg and Mellissa Seagrove. Elizabeth was a resident of Friendship Manor Assisted living. She was a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary #3 and also involved with the AMVETS and VFW. Elizabeth loved her veterans and the nurses, residents and kitchen staff at Friendship Manor. Elizabeth leaves behind two daughters, Theresa A. Reed of Roanoke, Barbara Jean McGuirt of York, S.C.; two sons, Billy Anderson and John Rosenburg both of Richmond; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many many special friends at Friendship. Family would like to thank everyone who helped them though this difficult time, especially the 11-7 staff at Friendship Manor and to Mike, for everything you did for mother. A service celebrating Elizabeth's life will be held 1:00pm Thursday, March 7, 2013 in Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. R.L. Graves Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
