Ethel Boyd Waldron, 90, of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Roley and Icie Shelor Boyd, two brothers and one sister. Surviving are her husband of 71 years, Melvin Waldron; daughter, Brenda Austin; son, Glenn Waldron and wife Lori, all of Roanoke; grandsons, Ricky Reese of Philadelphia; Brian Austin of Roanoke; granddaughters, Katelin and Lauren Waldron of Roanoke; great grandson, Jason Reese of San Diego; sister, Helen Wagner of Mechanicsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
