James (Jim, Randy) Randolph Heldreth, 61, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 31, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph F. Heldreth, a sister, Kathy Fernatt, a grandson, Drachen Calvin Fitzgerald, and his soul mate, Rhonda Hall Davis. Mr. Heldreth served in the U S Navy and worked as a Registered Nurse at the V A Medical Center in Salem for more than twenty years. Surviving are his daughters, Elaine Hope Heldreth, Amanda Katherine Davis both of Roanoke; Victoria Nicole Davis of Salem; son, Timothy Olen Heldreth of Roanoke; grandson, Kaiden James Robert Heldreth; mother, Barbara N. (Bobbie) Heldreth of Roanoke; brothers, Bruce Noell Heldreth of Albany, Georgia; Ryan Dean Heldreth and wife Sherri of Accident, Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews. In honor of Randy's love of animals, the family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Animal Wildlife Rescue. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
