John F. Tiller 77 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2013. He was preceded by his loving wife Ella Maxine Tiller. John attended Enon Baptist Church and retired from Double Envelope after 40 years of service, then worked additional 10 years for Kroger. John never met a stranger; he had his daily visit to the Brown Derby Pancake House where he loved being around people to talk and getting to know them. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his daughters, Carolyn Tiller Thompson and husband Daryl, Phyllis Williams and husband Mike all of Roanoke; grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin and Jacob Mays, Michael Williams, Marah, Leah and Conner Thompson; great grandchildren, Jake, Brody and Zachary. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 5:00-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
