Mildred Johnson Miller, 96, of Roanoke peacefully went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 8, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Marshall H. Miller, grandson Bryan W. Miller, and a daughter-in-law, Lisa B. Miller. Mrs. Miller worked at the Pentegon during the second World War. She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sons, George Marshall Miller, Alvin L. Miller and wife Donna all of Roanoke; and grandchildren, Brittney and Kelly. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. E. E. "Dick" Jones. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
