Melana Marie Doyle-Saucedo, 55, of Roanoke passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas L. and Anita Hastings Doyle, and father in law, Manuel Sausedo. Melana was born in Newark, New Jersey. Melana was an LPN for 25 years, working at Webster Medical Center in Anaheim, California before moving to Roanoke and accepting a job with Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem. During her life and career she was completely devoted to helping others. She is survived by her husband, Victor M. Saucedo; sisters and brothers, Elyse, Thomas, Regina, Jim, Mary Elizabeth and Joe and her very special friend, Bill W. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and members of her husband's family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Rescue Mission. A funeral service will be conducted 4 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. Friday until service time.
