Deborah L. Scott, 72, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on, Saturday, December 29, 2012. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph H. Scott, Jr. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Joseph H. Scott, Sr.; children Teresa Carroll of Roanoke, Michael W. Scott and wife Mary of Tennessee; grandchildren Steven T. Edwards of Roanoke, Amanda Canter, Matthew Canter, Charles Scott, and Cammy Scott of Tennessee, Christy Craig of Richmond, Va.; great-grandchildren Jacob Young, Christopher Young, Katelynn Logsdon of Tennessee; longtime friend Diane Oliver of Richmond, Va.; cousin Carol Baker of Chesterfield, Va. The family would like to give special thanks to the devoted caregivers at Friendship Manor for their compassionate support during Debby's final journey. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 1, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Simpson Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory.
