Robert R. "Bobby" Engleman, 68, of Roanoke County went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Engleman and a sister, Barbara Green. Mr. Engleman was employed by Timber Truss for many years. He was a life member of the Catawba Masons Cove Rescue Squad and a 40 year member of the Roanoke Valley Radio Control Club. In addition to spending time with his radio controlled airplanes, he also loved singing karaoke. Bobby was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Elaine Desper Engleman; children, Kim Liddiard and husband Michael, of Roanoke; Scott Engleman and wife Jeaneen, of Troutville; Holly McKnight and husband, Michael, of Boones Mill; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brother, Timothy Engleman and wife Sharon; sister, Richene Morgan and husband Barry, all of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the entire staff at Springtree Health Care Center for the outstanding love and care shown Bobby during his illness. We appreciate everything that you have done to help us. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Wanda Henley Howell. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
